EVing Help Empty EVing Help

Post by ethan06 Sat Apr 24, 2010 4:05 am

Hi there.

Well, I'm about to EV my team. The problem is: me being me, I'll probably be "about to start EVing" for the next five years - I just can't get my act together. If there's anybody who would be willing to help me with this, they will get first dibs at battling, a Calm Chansey with Aromatherapy and Toxic, a Bold Shuckle with Knock Off, and a Modest/Jolly Zubat with Nasty Plot, Pursuit, and Swagger. I'll deal with TM moves, so don't dig into your stocks for me. The spreads and requested movesets are as follows:

Roserade: 4 HP/252 Sp. Atk/252 Spe, Toxic Spikes, Sleep Powder, Leaf Storm, Shadow Ball
Blissey: 24 HP (already done)/252 Def (made a start on)/232 Sp. Def, Aromatherapy, Toxic, Softboiled, Ice Beam
Infernape: 172 Atk/144 Sp. Atk/192 Spe, Close Combat, Grass Knot, Stone Edge, Overheat
Dusknoir: 252 HP/28 Atk/228 Def, Pain Split, Will-o-Wisp, Earthquake, ThunderPunch
Gliscor: 252 HP/40 Def/216 Spe, Earthquake, Taunt, Roost, Stealth Rock
Magnezone (only there for Scizor, may as well change for Suicune cuz Ape)
Suicune: 252 HP/252 Def/4 Sp. Atk, Surf, Calm Mind, Roar, Ice Beam

I may as well make this into a pseudo-RMT as well, while I'm here. I have an Adamant Magikarp, a Jolly Ninjaskm and, of course, my Timid Magnezone waiting in the wings, so feel free to make suggestions and I'll get back to you on whether it's possible or not.

i don't mind helping, i ev train all the time, that's why i have an indestuctable hitmonlee xP... now all i need to know is, what are you trying to ev train your pokemon in, since evtraining really is that you strengthen up to 2 of a pokemons stats by alot. once you tell me which 2 stats u wanna train ur pokemon in i can give you some more insight, also just to let you know, if you've trained the pokemon already then ev training won't be as effective as it would be if you've never touched a pokemon, but luckily there are berries that can reduce your ev's.

I have EV spreads up there, they already tell you. >_> I've read up on EVs around a billion times, and I know it from back to front. The spreads and movesets are straight off Shoddy (I've substituted HP Fire for Shadow Ball on Roserade, it's so scrubbing hard to even get Natural Cure, let alone a specific HP type...), so I don't really have to worry about that. I just need them trained. Thanks for opting to help me, I'll try to get on tomorrow. They're practically all bred and at Lv1, if you want me to Rare Candy to such a level that they can take out a particular Pokémon, I can do that. Chansey has been touched, but I've been exclusively EVing it. I'll have my FC in a little while.

Why not get macho brace and pokerus, it'll just take 30 min of training depending how you battle.

I'm using Power Items, and Pokérus... Heh, I'm just not that lucky. I just want to get a team together before Black and White come out and the entire metagame changes.
