New DS Announced!

Normally,I do not post about new consoles like this,but as it may be inevitably involve the pokemon games,I figure I may as well update about it.The official Japanese Pokemon site has included a PDF detailing the release of a new handheld called the Nintendo 3DS.This console is said to succeed the DS and DSi and includes backwords compatibility for those systems.Nintendo states that the Nintendo 3DS is able to display 3D images without the need for the 3D glasses you see in cinemas for 3D films.Nintendo is said to reveal further details in E3 in June and the handheld is said to be released within the fiscal year starting next week and ending this time next year.

Ooh, so it's not gonna be like the 3D the DS already has? It's gonna be the kind of 3D you see with glasses, but without glasses?! 'Cause that's an awesome kind of 3D!

Woo, I'm up to $72.56 with my 3DS fund box. But I'm wondering if I should buy the 3DS right off the bat or wait for a "3DS Slim" that will come out after the "3DS original".
cause lets face it:
GBA -> GBA SP -> GBA Micro
DS fat -> DS Slim -> DSi -> DSi XL
3DS -> ???

guys, this is not really the 3ds, if you go to the video, and read the description, it says that this is a regular dsi, the game looks like that because of the camera on the front, it's only like, what is going to happen, cause this game is a real game on the dsi right now... there is no actual release on the 3ds currently

3DS seems great, but I bought an XL without realizing the 3DS would come out

Once 3DS is released; you should cheak out a few days later if there is any other news of another, because thats what Nintendo is good at xD. Making you get excited about one console and lur you into there pre-order deals etc. and then you end up realizing theres another product like it coming out e.g. DSi --> DSi XL.
